40 Dolch Pre-Primer Sight Words Write & Dap Worksheets
My 5-year-old loves activities like i-spy and word search but is not a huge fan of writing and reading. With that in mind, and in hopes of using that as encouragement, I try to include some fun activities that are easier yet still have some learning elements within her weekly learning materials.
Below is an example of incorporating the boring word tracing with a fun section of searching and dabbing. This package covers the complete list of Dolch pre-primer (pre-kindergarten) sight words, such as ‘a,’ ‘can,’ ‘go,’ ‘little,’ ‘you,’ and more. There are a total of 40 worksheets in the complete package, one for each word. Each sheet has a black and white dinosaur that can be used as coloring clip art, along with the word for that sheet. There’s a section for word tracing in black and grey dotted words and extra blank space for more practice. On the bottom section, there are various sight words in different font styles and sizes for searching. Bingo daubers are to be used here, but you can also color in. If your child or student is like mine, they will not miss the opportunity to also color the cute black and white dinosaur at the top.
