My daughter is in first grade this year, and she’s learning the basics of double digit addition and subtraction with numbers up to 10. When she was in kindergarten, I purchased and downloaded several double digit math worksheets, with and without supporting pictures, for her to practice on, and she got really good and was able to add up to 20 without my assistance.
However, after two months of summer vacation with no practice, she completely forgot everything she had learned. To help her catch up and get comfortable, I purchased School Zone first-grade math basics workbook and created a variety of worksheets in different formats to provide plenty of practice opportunities in addition and subtraction before we move on to the next phase.
